Brooches the biggest spring summer 2019 jewelry trend

Brooches the biggest spring summer 2019 jewelry trend

Brooches and pins, myriads of them in the most exotic forms and exuberant colours. It seems that this season, the designers have immersed themselves into the Garden of Eden filled with rare birds, enchanting flowers, whimsical insects and wondrous creatures - all bold, bright and unbearably beautiful. Karl Lagerfeld put brooches back on the style agenda. The biggest spring/summer 2019 jewellery trend was brought by the late designer and shown at his eponymous brand and, of course, at the house of Chanel. At the latter, brooches were piled and pinned on to oversized tweed jackets and sweatshirts, creating a fresh take on timeless and trendy. The Maestro himself appeared for a final bow in a black tailored jacket playfully splashed with a couple of silver pins. Brooches were seen, too, at Gucci, Rochas and Dolce & Gabbana, where they were randomly spread over the coat lapels and sleeves.

This time, however, it’s a daringly different approach to an all-time classic. Brooches had forgotten modesty and undergone a thrilling remake: emerging fun and breezy, carrying a young vibe and frisky glamour – a perfect accessory for a modern Holly Golightly.
The designers are spellbound by the magical creatures and blooms this spring. As a result, the coats' lapels glisten with delicate flowers and tropical turtles, while dazzling butterflies flutter across the jackets' sleeves. Jubilant colours and glistering stones make another part of the accessory’s sparkling makeover.

Wear your pins and brooches mixed and matched in a kaleidoscopic array. Key to the spring/summer 2019 biggest jewellery trend is to have fun and go overboard with colour, blink and quantity. Low-key these are not. But again, who wants to stay unnoticed when the heady air of spring is filled with the smell of cherry blossom, and the butterflies are dancing in your stomach and on your coat?
